Adverse Credit Cards Can Save You Money

by on Apr.27, 2009, under Financial

You don’t have to have a poor credit rating to take advantage of adverse credit cards. There are several reasons why anyone regardless of their credit rating will choose one of these cards usually designated for people who cannot receive a better deal. A simple comparison of credit cards on the website creditchoices.co.uk shows that adverse credit cards actually have benefits over low interest mainstays such as the Post Office credit card and Natwest credit card. How is this possible? All credit cards offer what is known as a grace period. This is the time span between your making a purchase, receiving the bill and a reasonable amount of time granted to pay that bill. During the grace period, no interest is charged. So, while the Natwest credit card is available at a far lower interest rate than an adverse credit card, it may not offer as long a grace period. And, if it were your intention to pay your entire balance off every month anyway, what would be the difference? The difference is that the adverse credit card may actually give you a longer period of time before any interest whatsoever is due.
